Block O Awards

What is Block O?

The Building CHAMPIONS For Life Block “O” Award has four functions.  First, it is a vehicle to motivate students to become active participants in the activities of their school.  Second, it is a blueprint for parents and teachers to use in planning, encouraging, and setting goals with children regarding their involvement in school activities and programs.  Third, it is a means of defining and affirming responsible, well-rounded CHAMPIONS.  Fourth, it is a significant form of recognition for students who have met the criteria for this award.

The Block "O" Award is an award that recognizes students involved in all areas of the school. The Block "O" award can be earned by all fourth, fifth, and sixth grade students and is available one time per year. The criterion for this award reflects well-rounded participation and service, as well as achievement. Block “O” recipients will be honored at our Block “O” award ceremony at the end of the school year. In keeping with the spirit of the Clovis Unified School District philosophy to be the best you can be, the areas and activities in which students can earn points have been grouped into these three domains: Mind, Body and Spirit.
